Bryson DeChambeau is known as “The Scientist” around the golf community as he has created a unique persona for himself. Born in Modesto, California, DeChambeau attended Southern Methodist University (SMU). During his time at SMU, DeChambeau became the fifth collegiate golfer to ever win the NCAA Division I championship and the U.S. Amateur in the same year. This achievement boosted him into the professional golf world as the new up-and-coming star on the PGA Tour.

His scientific approach, diets, and fitness regime kicked in and transformed DeChambeau’s game. All of his intense work paid off when he won the U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club. DeChambeau’s win was due to his aggressive style of play, untraditional strategies and ability to combine power and precision.
When LIV Golf entered the professional golf scene in June of 2021, DeChambeau stayed on the PGA Tour. A year after its origin, DeChambeau made the switch from the PGA to LIV. The rumored contract that he was offered was upwards of $200 million and since joining LIV, he has earned an additional $26.4 million. Since Joining LIV Golf, DeChambeau has won two individual tournaments and has led his team, Crushers GC, to a league win.
DeChambeau’s influence on the golf world extends far beyond the golf course. He has a large social media following on platforms like YouTube, Tik Tok, and Instagram.
